MUT Design Uses Copper, Marble And Ash For "Seductive" Freestanding Kitchen

Spanish MUT Design Studio has created modular kitchen furniture from materials commonly found in the home elsewhere.

Float MUT Design Collection comprises a kitchen island, a closet, cabinet, a shopping portion and a room divider.

By creating a system with more flexibility, and the use of materials such as copper, ash and marble, designers hoped to create a kitchen fit its contemporary role as "the heart of the home".

"Our goal was to create a collection that broke the barriers between the living room and kitchen - open space was our starting point," founder MUT Design Dezeen Alberto Sanchez said. "We wanted to create a collection of aesthetic kitchen, more akin to the living spaces of the kitchen."

"They live in a time when kitchens are again given central place in our homes. The Float collection stands a radically innovative approach, hoping to return to the kitchen its status as a fully habitable space."

The island is designed to be the main food preparation area. A marble sink sits on top of a copper column housed within a framework of ash. Drawers and trays are removable for easy access to the tools of both sides, which enables multiple people use the space at the same time.

A large closet - designed for appliances and other kitchen paraphernalia - full kitchenettes.

In addition, the glass cabinet and buying the bridging portion roles traditionally held by the kitchen and furniture for the room. Both are made from ash and powder-coated steel, with the addition of a copper tray low level. The room divider provides a way to delineate the two spaces without completely separating them.

"I wanted to work together objects but also wanted to be independent, so that ultimately, the decision on how to combine user-dependent," Sanchez said.

"Our intention was to recover an attractive format and seductive for a classic and noble material such as wood, thus giving the final product a strong personality and authenticity."

All items are handmade in Spain and are designed to be folded for delivery. Previous projects include the design MUT hexagonal tile cement designed to mimic the psychedelic patterns seen through a kaleidoscope.

Timeless Interior Design - Perfect For Protecting Your Kitchen Investment

Kitchens are the heart of the house. It is the place where meals are prepared to help their children with homework and entertain guests. It is the room in the house where everyone gathers, where memories are made, and, with a solid investment may increase by itself the value of your home and help you build a nest egg. Even if you are thinking of selling your home, all the eyes of potential buyers will inevitably be in the kitchen.

"When making investments in your home, the kitchen is unanimously the best place to start," says Nate Berkus, famous decorator, designer and artistic adviser for LG Studio appliances. "For me, a great kitchen is one that feels timeless. To achieve this, to get to what feels like classic space subway tiles and stainless steel, and allow the elements to tell their story to come through non-permanent installations, such as furniture, fabrics and details. "

Inside Timeless Design - Perfect For Protecting Your Investment Kitchen

Here are Berkus' five tips for designing a kitchen that always hold its value if you are looking to put your house on the market or just updating it for the enjoyment of your family:

1. A timeless look: When it comes to making big design decisions in your kitchen, put aside the trends and go with timeless and elegant. Reach for what feels like classic white subway tiles, brass and stainless steel appliances - things that look as good in 10 years as they do today. All LG Studio line of premium, built-in appliances, for example, was designed with a signature look, the feel and style you transition easily through the years.

2. Painting: I do not know why people always grin when I say wood painting. It is not a cardinal sin, especially in the kitchen. The demolition of the cabinets is not always an option, but the paint, while some work is one of my favorite things to do. Reach for black. It starts all the devices and makes for a dramatic change.

3. Rinse with lights: I tell my clients all the time - lighting is one of the most important decisions you can make in any room, including the kitchen. I love vintage pendant lights over an island or table. From lighting often can add a dated feel of the space, swapping out for something more timeless immediately makes the space look more streamlined - perfect for lighting up any potential buyer.

4. The long term: Make over a kitchen is no small thing. It is expensive and time consuming. Trust me when I say that I understand. Therefore, your best asset is information. Building that Pinterest board begins to identify what you like. Once you have that, you can begin to fix costs. Mine always starts with what is permanent, such as cabinets, appliances and flooring. These, together with the right to help you make it and install all equipment, your best investment. From there, consider ways that you can have what you want at a price you can live with. I have seen the most amazing islands consist of unique things, like a farm table or cages that are standing on a wall in opposition to the expansion of your cabinets. They can all be ways to get a great look without the big price tag.

5. Consider technology: The house of the future is actually here today. It is one that connects to the sound, TV and Wi-Fi. In short, our island in the kitchen is the command center for over meal preparation. For many of us it is also the office. Therefore, to add value to this space, not underestimate what is going to make life easier, such as outlets that have USB ports on the wall and on the island, loading docks and televisions. We do so much more in this space that the cook. Therefore, to add value, add ways for you to stay connected ... not on the dinner table.

Charming Mint Kitchen

Making house kitchen beautiful and attractive is not an easy task. People get different ideas from internet and used different and best material for kitchen.

What was the leading matter the design addressed?

Everything regarding the kitchen was out of harmony with the rest of the usual Georgian-style house.
Explain an obstacle in the space.

The cook top, sink & refrigerator were method too close to each other. The tiny window over the sink built the room feel closed in and did not permit enough normal light. By increasing the window & relocating the big refrigerator, the sink & cooktop could be situated farther away from each other. Under-counter refrigerator or big fridge drawers to the right of the new range top support the major food prep part, while the large refrigerator is now in a beverage/breakfast bar part.

How did the finish result match your new vision?

Our preplanning for the complete task was extremely careful. Laying out the ceiling beams was the main challenge & truly turned out better than we thought.

What are the hidden gems that make a large difference?

Corresponding display cases flanking the new entry to the dining room were stimulated by a characteristic at the du Pont Winterthur estate in Delaware. The owner collects & restores old light fixtures, containing the circa-1875 gas lantern over the island.

What lessons did you learn from this plan?

The new kitchen design started out with many extra cabinets. Lesson: Less is extra! With cautious planning for storage space, all those further cabinets were not required. Dishes stored in under-counter drawers with soft-close slides work huge. Bonus: a ideal and perfect spot for a superb traditional furniture piece.

Gloss finish is swiftly gaining popularity now days and you will be able to find many kitchens which are available in such finish. The best thing about the high gloss finish kitchen is that when it is teamed up with glass-fronted doors it completely revolutionizes your kitchen by giving it a chic and contemporary look. New Kitchen Worktop
Replacing your old kitchen worktop with a new one is another inexpensive idea to modernize your cooking space. However, it will completely depend on the type of worktop that you will choose for your kitchen as solid or granite worktops are more expensive as compared to laminate worktops.

Black and White Kitchen
The most easiest and inexpensive way to modernize a kitchen is by using a black and white colour scheme. It will give a very chic and modern feel and at the same time this look can be created by simply using black and white accessories and paints.
