The Scan Toaster is designed by a Sejong University student, Sung Bae Chang, who has created it for the Electrolux Design Lab 2008. Nevertheless, it remains to be seen whether it will be able to burn a piece of whole grain bread dark enough that one can read information from it.

However, Electrolux has now taken this idea of washing dishes one step ahead, as the company has revealed a Bifoliate Double Dishwasher that not only washes your dirty dishes, but also serve as a kitchen cabinet. For this purpose, Electrolux has built two different compartments in the Bifoliate Double Dishwasher of which one is used for washing the dishes while the other one is being used for keeping them. The best part about the Bifoliate is that it cleans the dishes by using ultraviolet technology instead of surf or traditional dish cleaner liquid.
