Display Cookbooks
You do not need just decoration pieces or items to décor your kitchen. You can also use your cookbooks to create an impact by displaying them in your cooking space. The best way to display them is by putting them together in an interesting configuration. For instance, you can lie some down and keep the rest in standing position or you can line them up in graduating order. However, avoid lining up small books in front of the tall books.

Add Colour with Rugs
You can complement the settings by adding a splash of colour to your kitchen in the form of a rug. This is also a great way to cover an unmatched or old area of floor in your kitchen. However, make sure that when you go to buy a rug you must have the exact measurement otherwise you will not be able to get a right size of rug for your space. In case, you are planning to put the rug under your dining table then ensure that it should be large enough. So the rug can easily cover the chairs and even when they are pulled out.

Change Cabinet Pulls

You can easily get different kinds of cabinet pulls from the market today without spending too much. Moreover, you can easily install them yourself. So you will not face any problem in finding the right cabinet pull. Some of the hottest designs are glass, wooden, ceramic and figural.

Bring Plants In
There is no harm in bringing the plants in kitchen, as they make the space look more interesting by soften up the things. You can place them in a hard to reach corner or hang them one a bare ceiling. Plants can also be placed at the top of the cabinets. You can use real as well as silk plants to create a natural feel, but make sure that if you buy silk plants opt for the ones that look more realistic. Moreover, silk plants are ideal for placing tin hard to reach areas or over cabinets.

Use Wallpaper Borders
Wallpaper border is another way to add more interest and colour in your cooking space. So do not be shy to use them as they are also easy to put up. Wallpaper borders are usually used at the top of the walls, but you can also use them under the cabinets or at chair rail height. Alternatively you can use paint and stencils to generate more interest in place of wallpaper borders, as they too are inexpensive, but in terms of labour it’s more intensive.

Place Accessories
You can change the dismal look of your kitchen by placing some accessories, but keep in mind that these items should be placed strategically. The best way to do it is by selecting a theme and you will be able to give your cooking space a whole new look by swapping some key accessories like pot holders, salt and pepper shakers, toaster cover, canister sets and dish towels.
